I downloaded the SPAM/SAINT Update and executed it with SAPCAR in the directory of the  Application Server Folder

And what is the directory ?

You need to put the extracted packages in the DIR_TRANS/EPS/in directory with the correct permissions.

try uploading the package front end means you will download the package to the local machine and upload it from the frontend from Tx SPAM and continue with the update.
