SAP offers Certification by passing a cert exam.  One common cert exam offered in the US related to APO is

Most people are unable to pass SAP cert exams without first taking some SAP courses, and spending a bit of time working in the various applications.  Suggested courses (offered by SAP and also offered by certain third part educational partners with SAP) are found in the details of the link above in the "Topic Areas" section.
