Hi Anidya,
I would suggest to have a glance at the product SAP Supplier Infonet suite. Here the idea is to gather and interpret events at certain locations where your supplier or Supplier's supplier is located that might affect your supply chain eventually.
In SNI, the idea is kind of same but narrow down to your Product and its sub-components. Imagine U are customer and you buy from supplier A its your vendor alright. But, if Supplier A is buying components for Supplier A1, for your product which is critical for Supplier A assembly or Product delivery always depends on inventory of Supplier A1
In such a case as a customer you should what affects your delivery, thought issue @ Supplier A1 is Supplier A's responsibility , for usre your supply chain is affected.
Hence, you will need to use SNI to track such a situation.
Hope this gives you a some idea about SNI Supplier's Supplier inventory.
Thx
MJ
