Opendoc feature (Linking) for BICS based reports

Hi,

    I created a web intelligence report (BI 4.0)on top of BEx query using BEx connection.

    The BEX query has default prompts for Country name and Year. These prompts are of range type i.e. country prompts to enter a range with Start value and end value. The same is true for Year. i.e. need to enter Start value and End Value.  always select one country for both Start value and end value and the same is true for year.  I am passing Prompt values for Country and Year from another report  (I selected Country object in report to pass country value i.e. USA here and Year Object in report for year prompt) but I am again prompted to enter LoVs. Is this due to range type of BEx prompts? May be end value is not taken default from Open doc ?
